This teapot has been a huge disappointment... The ring on the lid was poorly welded and came off within 3 months. I have been in contact with Cuisinox and was told I have to go through Amazon. The return date is expired, so I have a pot that is too hot to handle...

I purchased this Kettle about 4 months ago. After 2 months I noticed some little pinhole size coloration inside the Kettle. Those little pinholes grew in size until they became very visible spots of rust. And the spots keep growing.
I boil three cups of water daily...not a heavy user and nevertheless this product is advetised as being real stainlesssteel...IT IS NOT!!!!
I wish I can send this back to Amazon but I think it is too late for that.

I sent this back. It seemed cheaply made and had a weird smell. It could have just been mine but seemed rather poorly constructed. the spout part is a separate piece. I have a porcelain enamel covered SS teapot but it fell and chipped on the outside. I bought this to replace that one but I tried the water alone after heating it up and it seemed to have a "different" taste. I used the same filtered water I always use. I decided to just keep using my old tea pot until I find something similar. I think the ceramic helps offer tea water with no metallic taste.

Nice looking kettle, but once the water boils, the handle is much too hot to hold without a glove. Be forewarned!

Yes, I love this tea kettle. The design is simple, clean and beautiful. More importantly, the tea kettle is perfectly functional and the whistle is fine. In addition, there aren't really any moving parts that can break. Plus, the kettle is not too heavy when full, and is very durable. I highly recommend this item.
