 If you love yerba mate you'll love this kettle August 9, 2010

I love this kettle. I need the temp gauge because I drink yerba mate, and the temp has to be no more than 150 degrees. Most tea kettles that have a temp gauge don't go that low. Anyway, this kettle is perfect. I liked it so much, now I bought a second one. I need one for work and one for home. I'm tired of lugging it back and forth.
Once in awhile it'll say "low water" when there's plenty of water in there, but no biggie. I just take it off the base and put it back on to reset it. Luckily that doesn't happen too often.

Bought this as a gift for my mother. She uses it almost everyday making drinks for herself and kids. The temperature control is really handy and the hidden heating element helps prevent calcium buildup. All in all a great product but is a little expensive.
Heats water fast, sometimes gets confused July 2, 2010

This product works as advertised, and heats water quickly. As mentioned in other reviews, it will sometimes get confused and go into an error mode when you start less than half full. Pulling out the power plug resets the error, and everything works fine. This is a minor issue for a great product,

This kettle is a nice addition to my kitchen. We use it often..for tea and hot chocolate. Because it heats so quickly, we have also used this to quicken the process of boiling water for pasta and poached eggs. Heat the water in the kettle first then transfer to the pan you wish to continue cooking in. This item is well made.

I have had various electric kettles while searching for one that would suit my needs. I have finally found one! This one allows me to set the temperature and holds it until I can get there. Sometimes I'm busy in the kitchen and when I hear the beep I can't always get to the kettle immediately. Now I have time to dry (or wash) my hands before I pour the tea and I don't have to worry that the water will cool off. It even has a "roiling boil" setting. I have brewed everything from white teas to long-steeping herbals (in my Teavana) and the kettle is convenient and efficient. I have also boiled the water for chicken soup and added it to the chicken which was attempting to come to a boil on the stove. Doing that cut the process in half. This item is expensive, but so far it is worth every penny.
