OK taste after much use September 7, 2010 Nicholas Shellhaas (Lincoln NE) I make a lot of coffee in a french press. I keep this guy in my suitcase and use it to make coffee in my hotel room everyday day I'm on the road. It's seen a couple hundred uses and is still going strong. The water boils quickly and it's quite stylish. It's large enough to make a couple batches of coffee in my French press.
Some of the other reviews say there is a strange taste to the water. I noticed a plastic-ey smell when I boiled my first pot of water. I cleaned this thoroughly and did not noticed any unusual taste.
This is a sturdy product. I keep it in my checked bag for each flight and it's stood up the the bag tossers. One of my coworkers dropped it as well. it still works.
It stops working after 2 months July 27, 2010 JT 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This kettle was working fine for two months and now it stops working, and the electrician in my country does not know how to open it. We got as a gift about a year ago, but just start to use it for couple months. The blue light is cool, but the plastic made some strange smell.
It is smells. June 9, 2010 Larisa Kreychmar (New York, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It looks great and not heavy, but the plastic smells badly. So the water smells too.
I don't know, if it is going to continue like this, I have to send it back.
Electric water kettle May 28, 2010 Daly Makhinson (Fair Lawn, NJ United States) I have this cattle for one month works great, water warms up very fast, no aftertaste of any kind. I do use water from Britta filter.
Cool to look as water heats up and bubbles in the blue light.
I love this kettle! April 9, 2010 Lori A. (Fort Worth, TX) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I'm a new user of this kettle but I have to say so far I am very happy with it. After reading some of the reviews, I was a little concerned about the taste of the water but I've not had any issue with it; the water tastes just fine. The kettle is very easy to use, it looks nice displayed in my kitchen and what can I say, the blue water is pretty cool.
