Product Description
Boil better the Chef's Choice cordless electric kettle. It features a sleek, stainless steel design and operates without a cord -- just lift the kettle off its 360-degree swivel base to pour and serve wherever you want. One-year warranty. Model 677.

1 out of 5 stars Not Recommended-I've Bought Two   July 25, 2010
M. Dehn (USA)
I use my kettle at least once per day. I have purchased two of these Chef's Choice kettles and have taken good care of them both. Neither of the two has lasted longer than two years. The warranty is only good for one year. This is pretty annoying, as these kettles are rather expensive. The kettle is attractive and sturdy and I liked the cordless feature. My next kettle will not be a Chef's Choice due to the short product life.

2 out of 5 stars Top fell off after 3.5 years   July 18, 2010
HP (Maine USA)
We have used our kettle daily for 3.5 years which is pretty rigorous use but I would prefer it if small appliances weren't disposable. When the top stopped flipping up it was only a week before it fell off altogether. I'm going to try a Russell Hobbs kettle next time around.

1 out of 5 stars expensive one-year flop   July 13, 2010
K. Nelson-Munson (Northwest)
Highly priced compared to its peers, this kettle failed exactly 12.5 months after purchase with only modest use. Meanwhile my $10 plastic kettle is still going strong. Poor, poor, poor.

2 out of 5 stars Switch broke after 11 months usage   May 8, 2010
Cat Lady (southern Wisconsin usa)
When 3/4 full of water, this is a heavy pot but that wasn't such a problem. It worked well but after 11 months, the switch broke. $50 is a lot of $ for one year's service.

1 out of 5 stars Kettle's Great-Handle Stinks   May 1, 2010
M. Lee
I'm on my second kettle. First one lasted about a week before the handle started to come loose near the base. Returned it for another one. Received replacement--same thing happened. If you buy this kettle, be sure to order some [...] J-B Weld 8265-S Cold Weld - it keeps the handle on, but looks like hell.
